About the Role 

Teys Australia is seeking Apprentice Electrician to join our Wagga Wagga team. As an apprentice, you are to undertake the appropriate training program to become competent in supporting Teys Australia plant operations with respect to the various systems and machines that operations require for production of its products. This involves, but it not limited to assisting with tasks like repairing, maintaining and installation of electrical equipment in an industrial manufacturing setting. 

 

Working at our Wagga Wagga, NSW meat processing site, we can offer you a full-time, secure position including industry training within a supportive team. You will be a valued team member and will work in a fast-paced environment that has a focus on safety and wellbeing. 

As a full-time, permanent Apprentice, you will work a minimum of 38-40 hours per week. 

The Application Process

    • After submitting your application, it will be reviewed by the Recruitment team. They will contact you to discuss your application before organising an interview either onsite or online.
    • Once past the interview stage, we will need to conduct both an aptitude and physical assessment which will help us to assess if you are physically fit for the job requirements, at this stage, we will also conduct a drug and alcohol test.
    • Finally, we will conduct a Q-Fever vaccination process and you will move on to being inducted into Teys.

About you 

It is essential you have the following: 

 

  • Australian Citizen/Permanent Residency/Full Working Rights in Australia are essential 
  • Willing to do a pre-employment medical check, including a drug and alcohol test 
  • Q-Fever vaccinated (or willing to have) 
  • Be able to provide two professional references 
  • Year 12 school qualification/and or equivalent 
  • Be organised and committed, and turn up for your shift on time, every time
  • Be safe and act responsibly, safety is everyone’s responsibility including you
  • Be a team player and willing to help others get the job done

 

Desirable:  

 

  • Some understanding of food safety practices (HACCP) 
  • Cert II Electrotechnology
