About the Role
The Chief of Staff is a critical partner to the CEO, responsible for ensuring the organisation converts strategy into disciplined execution. This role combines strategic advisory, executive coordination and enterprise delivery, sitting at the centre of the Executive Senior Leadership Team.
The Chief of Staff acts as an integrator across the business - bringing clarity to priorities, lifting execution cadence, strengthening governance, and ensuring decisions made at the executive level are translated into action across the organisation.
While the role includes some support for external stakeholder engagement (for example, supporting the CEO in government, industry and key external interactions), its core purpose is enabling effective internal delivery and alignment.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a Brisbane‑based role (Eight Mile Plains) with some domestic travel will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the CEO and Executive Senior Leadership Team (ESLT) as a trusted adviser on enterprise priorities, emerging risks and strategic opportunities; prepare the CEO for Board (SteerCo) and critical leadership forums.
- Drive enterprise execution, translating strategy into actionable plans, milestones and accountabilities, and ensuring delivery across functions.
- Establish and maintain executive rhythm, including strategic planning cycles, quarterly business reviews, scorecards, agendas and decision tracking.
- Coordinate governance and decision flow, overseeing the quality, clarity and timeliness of executive, SteerCo and Committee materials.
- Enable executive alignment, surfacing interdependencies, resolving cross‑functional friction and ensuring enterprise priorities are resourced and actioned.
- Support selected external engagement, including briefing and coordination for key government, industry and stakeholder interactions, as required.
- Oversee internal and external communications, ensuring messaging is consistent and aligned to business strategy.
About You
You are a senior operator who thrives in complex, fast‑moving environments and brings clarity, structure and momentum where it matters most.
You will bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (or equivalent senior experience) in business, law, public policy, communications or a related discipline.
- 10+ years’ experience in senior corporate, government or professional services roles within large, complex organisations.
- Demonstrated success translating strategy into execution across multiple functions.
- Strong experience supporting senior executives or enterprise leadership teams at CEO or Board level.
- Highly developed judgement, discretion and political acumen.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complexity into clear executive insight.
- A collaborative, confident style with the ability to influence without formal authority.
What’s in it for You
- A rare opportunity to work directly with the CEO at the centre of a major Australian enterprise.
- Competitive remuneration, including Short Term Incentive, salary sacrifice options and annual meat allowance.
- Health, wellbeing and continuity support
- Injury/illness salary continuance scheme
- Access to corporate discounts including Bupa healthcare
- A genuinely influential role shaping how the organisation executes, aligns and delivers.
- The opportunity to build a long term career within a global, values led food business.
