About the Role
We are looking for a full-time Experienced Cattle Race Operator/Stockperson to join our team at our Biloela processingplant, assisting with the day-to-day operations of holding pens and stock movement.
Other role responsibilities include:
- General low-stress cattle handling
- Drafting
- Monitoring animal welfare
- Arrival of cattle
- Operating the Cattle Race/Wash
- Maintaining accurate daily records, such as data entry (training provided).
About You
An enthusiastic person with full Australian working rights who has a genuine interest in working in the meat processing industry, experience working with cattle, and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
It is essential that you have the following experience/skills:
- Low stress stock handling practice experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to foster a team environment
- Energetic and strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions
- Be able to work autonomously
- Be able to follow and comply with workplace policies and procedures
- High attention to detail
- Willingness to participate in a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test
- Q-fever vaccinated (or willingness to get).
