About the Role: 

We’re seeking a Feed & Mill Operator to join our Teys Jindalee Feedlot team based at Temora, in country NSW, just one hour from Wagga Wagga. 

In this role, you will assist with the day-to-day operations of the feedlot, while maintaining a high standard and timely delivery of feed to cattle, including the operation of modern feeding machinery and farm equipment and plant maintenance — supporting cattle performance, animal welfare and feedlot productivity.  There is also opportunity for cross-training for the operation of the Mill.

Key Role Responsibilities: 

Feed Preparation – Including batch loading of feed rations

Equipment Operation and Care – Maintenance of modern feed trucks

Operate equipment – Operate scales and feed trucks to receive loads and feed out rations accurately 

Compliance and Safety – adhering to Teys’ WHS, environmental, and animal welfare policies 

Team collaboration – work closely with your team to contribute to continuous improvement on site. 

 

About You: 

We are looking for a new team member with the following skills and attributes: 

* Mechanical aptitude; confidence operating agricultural/industrial machinery.

* Basic computer skills for feed systems and recordkeeping. 

* Current Driver’s Licence. 

* Flexibility to perform rostered shifts. 

* Willingness to undertake training/ licensing as required

* Commitment to teamwork and safety (including Q-Fever vaccination).
