When you join us, you will also be part of an important regional community. Our Jindalee Feedlot is a modern 18,000 head facility located in the Riverina region of NSW, two hours from Canberra and one hour north of Wagga Wagga.
About the Role
We are looking for a Feed Operator to join our Mill/Feeding team at our Jindalee Feedlot located near Temora, Regional NSW.
You will assist with the day-to-day operations of the feedlot and maintain a high standard and timely delivery of commodities and feeding rations to cattle, including the operation of modern feeding machinery and farm equipment, plant maintenance and hygiene upkeep, general feedlot maintenance, and maintaining accurate daily records. There is also opportunity for cross training as Mill Operator. A Truck license is not required for this position.
You will be a multi-skilled individual who has a genuine aptitude and interest in mechanical equipment and has good attention to detail while enjoying a variety of tasks and challenges.
It is essential that you have the following:
- Ability to carry out manual maintenance tasks and operate machinery
- Ability to work safely and follow policies and procedures
- Willingness to learn and observe details
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as on your own
- Ability to work a roster system records.
The successful candidate roster will reflect the below:
- 4 Days on 3 Days off
- 6 Days on 1 Day off
