About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Financial Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term contract to join our Finance team at our office in Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane. Reporting to our Senior Financial Accountant, this is a pivotal role in managing our financial manufacturing systems and processes, with key responsibilities including:

• Prepare weekly Profit & Loss statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Conduct monthly review of tax sensitive accounts and assist Tax Accountant with compiling workpapers for annual FBT and income tax returns for the assigned site
• Support the annual external audit by preparing requested audit documentation
• Balancing weekly inventory and meat reconciliations
• Reviewing and analysing financial performance against targets and budget

About You

You must have the following experience/skills:

• Minimum accounting degree qualified
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Proven ability to analyse financial and operational data.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• A highly organised, analytical approach to problem-solving and systems review.
• Newly or partly completed CA or CPA Program

Desirable:

• Previous exposure to agribusiness or a related industry.
• JD Edwards experience.
