About the Role
Teys Australia is seeking a qualified Industrial Refrigeration and Steam Plant Operator to join the Asset Management team based at our Rockhampton processing site in Central Queensland. The role will be responsible for the control of industrial refrigeration and steam generation systems, and/or other mechanical equipment to site service facilities. Other role requirements include:
- Record keeping and tracking of refrigeration operations;
- Operation of steam generating boilers;
- Inspection of equipment for operating efficiency;
- Monitoring of conditions for Quality Assurance and product safety;
- Uphold safety practices in the workplace.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will have:
Essential Requirements:
- Excellent communication and technical skills.
- Completion of Year 12;
- Mechanically minded with a mechanical/electrical trade qualification
- Have Permanent Residence or Australian Citizenship Status
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Safety conscious attitude.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to pass a TEYS Pre-employment medical, including a urine drug and alcohol test.
- Have or willing to obtain a Q-Fever vaccination
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience in ammonia refrigeration operations;
- Qualified/Licensed Refrigeration Mechanic
- Refrigerant Handling License
- High Risk Work License.
- Ammonia Awareness training (preferred)
- Refrigeration Plant Operator training (preferred)
- Ammonia Experience
- Boiler License
- EWP Training and License
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space
- CPR/LVR
