About the Role

Teys Australia is seeking an IT Applications Support Analyst to join the IT team based at our Group Support Services in Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane. The role will be responsible for maintaining critical business systems operating smoothly and supporting their continuous improvement.

Reporting to our IT Applications Support Manager, the successful candidate will support business users with application tickets, data discrepancies, and integration failures whilst assisting in the implementation of innovative tools and systems.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Support enterprise applications that power manufacturing, logistics, finance, and operations (Uniworks, Warehousing Management systems, JD Edwards)
• Help design and implement smarter workflows and automation
• Contribute ideas to improve system performance, reliability and usability
• Assist with system upgrades, rollouts and enhancements
• Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex issues
• Document solutions clearly (diagrams, specs, process flows)
• Participate in testing cycles (UAT, regression and functional testing)
  

The role will also provide exposure to plant production systems, allowing the successful candidate to learn how technology directly supports large‑scale, real‑time operations.

About You

You must have the following experience/skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Three (3)+ years experience in IT Support role or IT Operations role
• Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal.
• Hands-on implementation and configuration experience.
• Ability to translate IT technical language into business context.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Exposure to Windows and Linux based operating systems

Desirable:

• Experience working in an IT Service Desk environment.
• Experience in development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
• Exposure to SQL database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL).
• Basic understanding of AI and ML concepts, and exposure to large language models (LLMs).
• Knowledge of logistics processes and Warehouse Management Systems (Dematic, BlueYonder) within the Food Manufacturing Industry.
• Experience in scripting or programming languages.
• Ability to recommend industry recognised best practice methodology.
• ITIL Foundation Certification.
• Exposure to project management.
