About the Role

Teys Australia is seeking an experienced and team-oriented IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team, based at Group Support Services in Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining Teys’ enterprise IT environment, as well as delivering IT solutions and services across the group.

Reporting to our IT Infrastructure Manager, the successful candidate will ensure that IT systems are available, reliable and scalable while coordinating their operational performance in line with business requirements. The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting networking, hardware and software disruptions in parallel with improving efficiency through automation.

Additionally, this position will maintain a robust server infrastructure - including cloud environments- and will participate in different projects across remote facilities.

About You

It is essential that you have the following experience/skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Experience in an IT infrastructure or similar role
  • Understanding of IT security principles, including system hardening, identity management, and patch management.
  • Experience with some of the following technology domains:

o Networking (LAN, WIFI, SD-WAN, firewalls, VPNs).

o Operational Technology (SCADA, PLC, IoT, Industrial Ethernet / CPwE)

o Server virtualisation and hyperconverged infrastructure (Vmware ESXi, vSAN, Nutanix).

o Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Meraki networking hardware and configuration.

o Microsoft Windows Server technologies including Active Directory, Group Policy, Remote Desktop, Always-On VPN.

o Linux Server Management tools (Red Hat Linux, Red Hat Satellite, Puppet, Ansible).

o Amazon AWS cloud services (EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, IAM, S3, Route53, Lambda)

o Microsoft Azure Entra ID identity management

o Microsoft 365 and teams administration.

o Backup and disaster recovery technologies (Veeam, Zerto, Nutanix, Cloud Protection Manager)

o Endpoint management (Microsoft Intune, Puppet, Chocolatey)

o SSL certificate lifecycle management.

Desirable:

  • Highly self-motivated and directed with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Experience working in food processing or manufacturing industries.
  • Relevant certifications (Cisco CCNA/CCNP/ECMS, ITIL Foundation).
