About the Role

Teys Australia has an exciting opportunity for a drivenIT Technical Service Support to join our IT Service Desk team at our collaborativeGroup Support Servicesoffices located in Eight Mile Plains, south of Brisbane in Queensland. This dynamic role is responsible for supporting first and second level requests from our users across the business. 

Reporting to our IT Service Delivery Manager, the successful candidate will coordinate and participate in key process improvements, interacting with different areas within the organisation and delivering remote and on-site assistance to different stakeholders. 

About You

It isessential that you have the following experience/skills:

  • Certificate-level IT qualification and/or relevant experience in an IT support role.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL principles and service management practices.
  • Experience using service desk / ticketing system (e.g. ServiceNOW or similar).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Demonstrated customer service focus with effective phone and remote support skills.
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving capability, with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Experience supporting Windows environments and end-user devices.
  • Working knowledge of identity and access management (e.g. Active Directory, Entra ID).
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, WI-FI).
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes, procedures, and security protocols. 
  • ITIL certification

     

     

Desirable: 

  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Exposure to endpoint management tools (e.g. Intune, Autopilot, device compliance).
  • Experience working in a production, manufacturing, or remote site environment.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity practices and incident response processes. 
  • Experience contributing to IT documentation, knowledge base articles, or process improvements.
  • Familiarity with automation or scripting (e.g. PowerShell).
  • Experience working in a corporate or enterprise IT environment.
