Teys Australia is seeking a qualified Maintenance Supervisor to join the Asset Management Team based at our Rockhampton processing site in QLD.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the role will be responsible for driving the mechanical maintenance team coordinating repairs, preventative programs and initiatives aligned with the group strategies. The successful candidate will ensure health and safety practices are being followed and support additional training to eliminate potential risks.
The role will also be responsible for engaging internal and external stakeholders and working with our Environmental Officer to implement and monitor practices to minimise environmental harm.
Other responsibilities include:
- Recruit, train, maintain roster and supervise maintenance staff.
- Recommend and develop initiatives which enhance productivity, efficiency and profitability of the plant.
- Support project and capital works design and costings.
- Work alternative shift work as required to oversee the maintenance operation of the site
About You
Essential:
- Existing Relevant Trade Qualifications with supervisory experience
- Knowledge of and experience in contemporary management of refrigeration, wastewater, steam generation and environmental technology.
- Current driver's license.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership and technical skills.
- Full working rights in Australia
- Be vaccinated for Q-Fever or willing to obtain
- Successfully pass a Teys pre-employment medical and Drug and alcohol test (urine)
Desirable:
- Direct experience in an export meat or food processing plant.
- Proven successful management record in leading a repair and maintenance team.
- Advanced computer literacy skills.
- Design and technical drawing skills.
