About the Role:

We’re seeking a Pen Rider to join our Teys Jindalee Feedlotteam based at Temora, in country NSW, just one hour from Wagga Wagga

In this role, you will work as part of a team to ensure the health, welfare, and efficient handling of cattle within our feedlot, supporting production goals and animal welleing to exemplify Teys’ high standards and industry best practice.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Animal health and welfare – including daily cattle monitoring
  • Cattle handling and movement safely and with low-stress handling techniques
  • Feedlot operations supportassisting with pen maintenance 
  • Compliance and Safety – adhering to Teys’ animal welfare policies
  • Team collaboration – work closely with your team to contribute to continuous improvement on site.

About You:

We are looking for a new team member with the following skills and attributes:

  • Strong horsemanship and cattle handling skills.
  • Minimum two horses (Hendra vaccinated) and riding gear (allowances for upkeep)
  • Knowledge of animal health, husbandry and welfare practices.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Good communication and record-keeping skills.
  • Commitment to teamwork and safety (including Q-Fever vaccination).
