About the Role
Teys Naracoorte is seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to be part of our Production team. This role is responsible to ensure all aspects of the primary meat products and process meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities typically include:
- Develop and conduct regular inspections o meat products at various stages of production to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Monitoring and documenting production processes to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Performing quality tests and checks on meat products, including temperature monitoring, pH testing, and visual inspections.
- Implementing and maintaining quality control procedures and documentation.
- Investigating customer complaints and non-conformities to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Training production staff on quality standards and procedures.
- Collaborating with production and management teams to continuously improve quality processes and outcomes.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and standards, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).
- Participating in internal and external audits.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a thorough understanding of food safety and quality standards in the meat industry.
About You:
It is essential that you have the following experience/skills:
- Have full working rights in Australia
- Complete a pre-employment medical check, including a drug and alcohol test
- Q-Fever vaccinated (or willing to get)
- Be able to provide two professional references
Desirable:
- AFQ Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Quality Assurance or correlated areas
