About the Role
Teys Australia is seeking an experienced Shipping Manager to join our Logistics team in Eight Mile Plains, south side of Brisbane. This exciting role is responsible for managing Teys export cargo movements ensuring delivery in full and on time.
Reporting to the Group Export Logistics Manager, the successful candidate will manage a broad portfolio of activities including stock control, schedule and booking of transport services as well as collaborating with strategies to reduce costs and mitigate risks.
Additionally, the position is responsible for generating reports on export results, inventory management, and accurate accruals for freight and cartages, while overseeing supplier invoicing and supporting the logistics team with other activities.
About You
It is essential that you have the
following experience/skills:
- Qualifications in Logistics or a similarly related discipline and/or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Sound working knowledge of export logistics procedures and requirements.
- Highly organised with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new programs quickly.
Desirable:
- Experience in a meat processing or manufacturing environment
