About the Role
We are looking for two experienced Stockpersons to join our team at our Rockhampton processing plant to assist with the day-to-day operations of holding pens and stock movement.
Other role responsibilities include:
- General low-stress cattle handling
- Drafting
- Cutting out
- Pen riding and moving cattle between pens and processing plant.
- Monitoring animal welfare
- Arrival of cattle
- Administration of the animal health treatments
- Maintaining accurate daily records, such as data entry (training provided).
About You
An enthusiastic person who has a genuine interest in working in the meat processing industry and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
It is essential that you have the following experience/skills:
- Competent horsemanship and riding skills
- A minimum of two horses and required gear (allowances given for upkeep)
- Excellent cattle handling skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to foster a team environment
- Be able to work autonomously
- Be able to follow and comply with workplace policies and procedures
- High attention to detail
- Q-fever vaccinated (or willingness to get).
