About the Role

Teys Australia is seeking a Wellbeing Officer to join our Human Resources team based at our Rockhampton processing site. This pivotal role is responsible for providing essential support to our Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme employees, facilitating access to a wide range of workplace and community services.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for PALM employees’ enquiries and support them as they adjust to life in Australia. Key responsibilities include managing accommodation arrangements, coordinating arrivals and departures as well as conducting fortnightly meetings to address potential concerns and develop collaborative solutions.

Additionally, the role will manage and respond to PALM worker incidents in accordance with Teys policies and PALM program requirements while maintaining accurate records and relevant documentation.  

About You

It is essential that you have the following experience/skills:

  • Previous experience in supporting International Labour Programs including worker mobilisations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Mature perspective, with ability to balance individual and worker interests.
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and able to manage sensitive information.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously with a solution focused approach.

Desirable:

  • First Aid Certificate
  • Previous experience interacting with Government Agencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software suite
