Charlton Feedlot is located near Charlton in north-west Victoria just 2 1/2 hours from Melbourne. This very modern 22,000 head facility serves a key role in the Teys Australia supply chain producing quality beef for the domestic and short-fed export markets.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Feedmill Supervisor to join our team on a permanent full time basis.

Leading a team of up to 8 people, the successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the hands-on day to day milling & feeding operations at the feedlot. The modern steam flaking mill is state of the art and can process up to 200 tonne of grain per day. 

The feeding system utilises the latest Digistar technology and delivery is carried out using Rotomix feedtrucks.

This opportunity would suit an enthusiastic individual who has a genuine desire to work in the beef industry and who thrives in a collaborative team environment.

Some of the tasks of this role will include:

• Leading the feeds team.
• Ordering & organising delivery of commodities.
• Bunk calling – ensuring cattle are fed to the standards required
• Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Office etc
• Commodity testing as per QA requirements

About you:

• Minimum 2 years experience in feed milling, ideally with steam flaking experience.
• Previous leadership role.
• Strong communication & problem solving skills.
• Computer literate.
• Excellent record keeping skills.
• Excellent knowledge of WHS & QA principles.
